These day trips are having some success amongst Families, visitors or adult groups. We also run a range of adventure activities in and around Glasgow including, exploring, bush craft and canoeing this is called the Urban Adventure.
During winter Wild Side Africa kicks in, where the company aims to facilitate a minimum of three annual expeditions to East Africa.
All our activities are professionally delivered, adhere to Health and Safety and are Eco friendly (Read our Eco-Policy). We will try to have one point of contact, a person who deals with your request and activity provision. Wild by Nature is a friendly small project, which has conservation at its heart. We balance safety and fun, without loosing that sense of adventure.
Wild by Nature is part supported by Friends of the River Kelvin (FORK) a voluntary organization created to protect, improve and promote the wild area along the River Kelvin corridor. Wild by Nature not only shares a very similar ethos to FORK, but both organizations, share a premises down at the river Kelvin ,comprising of a store, large training area and office. The company has a safari style approach to adventure and our dedicated staff team has over fifty years combined experience in the design and delivery of adventurous activities.
Staff selection is hinged on the person’s level of competence for the adventure activities we provide, the passion and knowledge concerning the natural environment and their ability to relate to others. We aim to promote environmental custodianship through adventure; where adventure is achieved through journeying over challenging scenic terrain, we also believe that tourists and residents forms one community and we sometimes mix visitors with residents. We acknowledge and celebrate different culture but, encourage one community.
As part of your experience with us you may choose to gain new navigation skills through the National Navigation Award. We also use The John Muir Award scheme to help people connect with nature and achieve an award in the process .
