Dive Kenya
While visiting Kenya, don’t just view the majestic animals that wander the great grasslands, but venture below the waves and explore the amazing marine life and habitat that the Kenyan coast has to offer.
Wild Side Africa, in cooperation with Kenya’s only PADI 5-star diving centre, will show you this beautiful underworld in a safe and relaxing environment.
Several great dive destinations are located minutes away from our base in the coastal town of Mombassa. Just north of the dive centre is the Bamburi National Marine Park, home to an impressive array of coral gardens and incredible marine life.
Whitetip reef shark
You will see many creatures living in this protected habitat such as moray eels, groupers, whitetip reef sharks, lionfish and parrotfish. One of Kenya’s best underwater treasures is the migrating whale shark, which travels close to the coastline. Many divers have had the experience of a lifetime swimming beside this brilliant creature.
Marine and coral life isn’t the only thing to see underwater. The Kenyan coast is also home to several shipwrecks that divers can explore. For example, the MV Dania was purposely sunk in 2002 and many of the ships details are still visible. It is considered the best wreck dive in Africa!
Never been scuba diving? As part of your 17-day customized package, Wild Side Africa will teach you how to scuba dive and certify you as an open water diver. This certification is recognized worldwide.
